Products:

Chemical grade limestone (calcium carbonate) in a broad range of sizes from 200 mesh to 2 microns, Alumina Trihydrate, and surface modified products. Most materials are available in bulk, bags (50 lb.) and semi-bulk containers.

Shipment:

Truck origin for most products. Containerized loads available for export shipments.

Production:Chemical grade limestone is supplied from Franklin's Anderson, Tennessee plant. Crude alumina trihydrate is purchased from primary producers under long term contracts. Separate rail and truck unloading facilities are available for each raw material. Production is accomplished through milling and air classification. The extensive mill capacity of the Specialty Products Division allows the plant to produce both large volumes of a single product as well as a broad range of products simultaneously. Blends of calcium carbonate and alumina trihydrate are available in several ratios. Calcium stearate treatment of carbonates is also available.
